Originally from Northland, Nicole was drawn to osteopathy after experiencing great results from osteopathic treatment. She trained at UNITEC in Auckland graduating with a Masters degree in osteopathy in 2007.
Nicole enjoys treating a wide range of patients including infants (for symptoms such as ear infections, colic and reflux), expectant mothers, adults and children, and takes a common-sense approach to assisting people back to health. She enjoys tailoring her treatments to the individual using manipulation, soft tissue and gentle cranio-sacral techniques as required.
Her special interests include working with sports people, treating complaints such as ankle, knee and hip sprains; overuse syndromes such as tendonitis, shin splints and tennis elbow. Nicole also enjoys working with patients with chronic pain and finds much of the pain arthritic patients experience can be improved and managed with osteopathic treatment.
Nicole’s postgraduate education includes biomechanical tuning, osteopathic paediatrics, obstetrics, the impact of traumatic stress on the body, dysfunctional breathing, managing low back pain and mindfulness. She also has Diplomas for Osteopathy for Horses and Dogs, and Naturopathic Medicine, and can incorporate some dietary advice with treatment where necessary.
She joins us having previously worked in Auckland and Wairarapa. As an active sports person, tramper and keen gardener, she is keen to explore what the Marlborough region has to offer.
