Yohanna was inspired to study osteopathy after experiencing the benefits for herself and seeing the positive outcomes that family and friends had also received from treatment. Having originally thought about studying law, she decided the one-on-one nature of osteopathy combined with her interest in the anatomy and function of the human body suited her better.
After completing a Bachelor in Applied Health Science (Human Biology) and a Masters of Osteopathy at Unitec in Auckland, Yohanna moved from her hometown of West Auckland to Blenheim. Here, she enjoys the work-life balance, making the most of the outdoor activities the region has to offer. Rock-climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking and tramping are just some of the sports she enjoys. Yohanna is currently on the Board of Osteopaths NZ, which is osteopathy’s professional association in New Zealand.
Using a variety of techniques, Yohanna adapts treatments to suit the individual, whether babies, elderly, sportspeople, executives or whoever else walks through the clinic door. It’s this variety that she enjoys about her job.
